London Entertainment and Culture Case Study:
The British Museum
When I studied abroad in London the summer of 2023, our capstone project for one of the classes was to discover a cultural landmark in London and create a plan for promoting tourism to the site among a target public, with a focus on audience-specific strategies and tactics that align with the site’s cultural or entertainment purposes. Alongside peers Rachel Nellmapius and Caitlin Reimer, our team chose the British Museum as our landmark and Gen-Z as our audience, with our final promotional plan being to create Spotify playlists to highlight different parts of the museum for tourists to listen to while exploring them! It was fantastic to gain hands-on experience in crafting promotional strategies to create a campaign for the brand and effectively engage the target audience.
